Mason and his crew made their way to Elkins Speedway Friday night for an exciting night of racing. In hot laps Mason brought in the fastest times on the stopwatch letting everybody aware of his presence. Masons heat race was a good one as he was able to walk away with a sizable win! Stretching his lead into an entire straight away. Going into the main event Mason was running in the third position, on the third caution Mason had two competitors drive under the back of his car on the restart upsetting the car and causing the quarter panel to rub the right rear tire taking away alot of its surface. Needless to say Mason was still able to come away with a sixth place finish Friday night at Elkins Raceway. The 25z, CMG Commonwealth Marketing Group, ISI Insurance Agency, Budweiser, USA Credit, Lepley Horse Shoeing, Old Mill Farms, HTMA Hoosier, Rocket Chassis late model will appear next at tyler county speedway for the 5,000 to win topless 50. Friday Night Mason and his crew made their way to the 1/2 mile oval Bedford Speedway in Bedford PA. The Night started out bad when Mason Broke a rear end in hot laps. Mason and his crew rushed to get the spare car out and with a little help were able to get it ready for the heat race. Mason was forced to start last on the grid for the heat race. It wasn’t long before Mason was charging through the pack making it work on the topside, with the white flag waving and Mason entered turn four for the checkered flag and the right rear tire exploded, ripping the entire right side off the car. The crew struggled to get the car back together for the feature but were able to do so. Mason once again had to start in the last position. After a few laps in the books Mason was once again forced to pull off the track due to internal problems resulting from the incident during the heat race. Overall a very long stressful night for MZR but will be ready for next week!

Saturday night Mason and his crew made their way to the local speedway “Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex”. Mason looked great opening the night by winning his heat race with a size able lead! The 25-lap Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic Late Model feature saw Mason the initial leader. Zeigler looked fast holding off veteran driver Tim Senic and Jared Hawkins. The three drivers were in a fierce battle for the top spot. Hawkins used the high line trying to take over the lead but just couldnt quite make it happen, on lap 18 the three found themselves heading into lapped traffic. In the end Mason ended up finishing in the fourth position. Not what Mason nor his crew anticipated to happen, but over all a good night for MZR. The 25z, CMG Commonwealth Marketing Group, ISI Insurance Agency, Budweiser, USA Credit, Lepley Horse Shoeing, Old Mill Farms, Hoosier Mid Atlantic and Rocket Chassis late model will appear next at Roaring Knob Motorsports complex in Farmington Pa Friday night for the Lucas oil late model series fallowed by Hagerstown the fallowing evening. Saturday night Mason and his crew made their way to Tyler County Speedway for their second ever appearance for an action packed night of racing. The night started off great with Mason in the books as the fastest car in hot laps. Just before the heat race began crew chief Dan Lepley noticed a knocking/awkward sound in the motor and did not risk hurting the motor by running the heat race. The crew immediately rolled the backup car out and began getting it ready for the B Main. Since Mason was not able to run his heat race, he was forced to start last in the B Main. He managed to come from 13th to finish 2nd . Which transferred him into the Main event which was only starting twenty cars. Starting in the 18th position Mason was able to make his way up to the 8th position to finish the night. Mason managed to pass more cars Saturday night than any car in the main event. Mason and his crew at MZR racing, made their way to Brownstown speedway for their first ever appearance, for the Indiana Icebreaker presented by the ”Lucas Oil Late model Series”. After qualifying Mason found himself sitting in the fifth position of his heat race. It wasn’t long before Jonathan Davenport, Greg Johnson and Mason were mixing it up for the lead of the U. S. Steel second heat race. In the end Mason finished in the third position which settled him into the twelfth position for the main event. Around lap twelve Mason was found himself in the ninth position. Unfortunately not long after that Mason had to remove himself from the racetrack due to rear end failure. Volusia Speedway Park 2/25/12 – Saturday was the final day of racing and Mason managed to qualify in the 25th position. mason Managed to run fifth in his heat race after starting in the seventh position. This settled Mason into the third position for his B main event. Mason and his crew were not informed they were going to prep the track and set the car up entirely too tight for the tracks conditions. After two laps Mason elected to pull off before ruining four new tires for no reason. Mason and his crew would like to thank everybody for their hard work and help in the UNOH DIRT car Nationals Presented by Summit Racing Equipment and hope to see everybody at the track soon! MZR has elected to schedule their next event at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown Illinois on March 24th for the Lucas Oil 10,000 to win Ice Breaker! More races will be scheduled soon.
Volusia Speedway Park 2/24/12- Mason Qualified deep in the 80 car field Friday putting him in the 9th position for his heat race during the day race. Mason was able to race all the way to the fourth position which sat him in second for his B Main. Mason drove by Saturday Nights feature winner John Blankenship creating a sizeable lead WINNING his B main event. This sat Mason in the 18th position for the Main event. It wasn’t long before Mason found himself in the 8th position behind veteran divers Don O’Neil and Billy Moyer. Mason fallowed the two into the corner not expecting them to spin out when sure enough they got tangled up taking Mason out with them. Mason was forced to tag the rear of the field in the 24th position and managed to finish in the 18th position in the final rundown. The Nights Racing didn’t go down so well. Mason qualified mid pack settling him into the 10th position for his heat and mason was only able to move one position in the heat finishing in the 9th position and once again electing to not run the B main not wanting to chance hurting the car for the fallowing nights racing. 2012 Season Preview…

As the days wind down Mason and his crew prepare for speed weeks at both Ocala Speedway and Volusia Speedway Park, for a week and a half of intense racing. Mason and his crew at MZR made a few changes for this season in hope to have better luck and improve in the 2012 season. Mason was awarded the hard luck award for 2011 due to parts failure. After improving their motor program and adding a new car to the fleet, Mason and his crew feel very comfortable about the 2012 season! Mason was also featured in the January edition of “Late Model Illustrated” and urges everybody to check that out! Everybody at MZR would like to thank some new sponsors for coming on board for the 2012 season which consists of OVR Vacation Rentals, Fast Shaft, Awesome Racewear, R2C Air Filters and MS Shock Therapy. Mason and his crew are excited about the 2012 season and are also excited about getting into some new equipment.
